Copy a Recording from the DVR to a VCR or DVD Player 

1. Select the program to playback from the List.
   
   
2. Select the Copy to VCR option.
   
   
3. Make sure an RCA cable is connected from Output2/VCR on the back of the DVR to the input of the VCR/DVD player (see the image below).
   
   
4. Insert a blank tape/DVD into the VCR/DVD player and press Record.
   
   
5. Press A on the remote to begin playback on the DVR. To cancel, choose the program from the list again and select the Stop Recording option. This will appear in place of the Copy to VCR option.
   
   

This process utilizes the 2nd tuner to playback the previously recorded program. Live TV can still be watched through the main tuner, while the Picture in Picture (PIP) feature will show the playback.
